Hawaiian Sand Wedding Ceremony
Adding the sand ceremony to your Hawaii beach wedding
may add that touch of fun and color to your event

The sands once poured together during your Hawaii beach wedding can never be separated and poured back into the original containers,
just like your love now united into one

puring the sand pink and white for scarlett.jpeg

Uniting of two individuals into one is symbolized by the
pouring of multicolored Hawaiian sand.

inseparable we are like the grains of sand untied now.
the individual is emptied into the sea of love and
no longer be separate but
will be for ever and always entwined as one
two distinct personality

Sand of the ceremony site is sometimes added
after for remembrance of the beach wedding location.

Even the sand we use today has great significance to us.
Like the sands of time pouring into an empty space,
We chose to use the sands that are so much like us to fill this void
Matt uses sand which was taken from Kailua Beach
As it is with it’s location, it has the same qualities which I find in him
Silky, and smooth, pristine and always kind to the touch
It shows it’s consistency, calmness and kindness day after day
The sand I use today is much like myself as well
Taken from the north shore, like it’s location, it can be rough, changing,
Always surprising and usually unpredictable
Yet there is a sense of appreciation, love and beauty resting upon it’s shores
The combining of these two sands is representative of how our
lives have Poured together and become one This marriage of us is like the mixing of these two sandsAnd brings the qualities of both
of these different entities into one Creating a well balanced supportive and complete existence And such it is with us

BRIDE and GROOM may your love always be as constant as the never-ending waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea. Just as the waters touch and nourish the many shores of the earth, may your love be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Just as there will never be a morning without the ocean’s flow, there will never be a day without your love for each other. You have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings. This beautiful union is symbolized through the combining of these two individual jars of sand. The first jar represents you, JULIE, in all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other jar represents you, GREG, in all that you were, all that you are and all that you will ever be. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create an entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. When you pour the sand into this common container, it symbolizes the union of your two lives. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one love. The life that each of you experienced now, individually, will hereafter be inseparably united, for the two shall become one.
