Our First Dance "Can't help falling in Love

Our love story began in the most unexpected way back in 2014.
I was the designated driver for a night out with friends when fate decided to introduce us through a mutual friend. After dropping everyone off at the end of the evening, I discovered that my future fiancé’s friend had left her purse in my truck. Being the gentleman I am, I drove back to return it—secretly hoping there might be something more to the encounter, but no, it really was just about the purse.
Fast forward a few years, and she stumbled across my social media profile. Something about it caught her attention, and she began what I now lovingly call “The Great Taco Campaign.” She asked me out for tacos not once, not twice, but multiple times. And honestly? I wasn’t paying attention. I was completely oblivious to her persistent and charming attempts to get me to notice her.
Finally, her determination paid off, and I agreed to that fateful taco date. It turned out to be the best “yes” I ever said. What started as one ignored invitation became the foundation of our relationship, and now we honor that beginning every Valentine’s Day with our tradition of eating at a taco truck—a delicious reminder of how persistence, patience, and the perfect street tacos can lead to forever.
Sometimes the best love stories are the ones that take a few years and a lot of tacos to unfold.
